Just installed new clocking system. Where exactly should the antenna pad be positioned relative to the trap opening?

Right inside the trap entrance works best. Birds step directly on it as they enter.
Make sure nothing metal is within 6 inches - interferes with the signal.
I mounted mine under a thin rubber mat. Protects from droppings and still reads fine. Bird doesn’t even know it’s there.
