One of my birds is holding his left wing slightly lower than the right. Noticed it yesterday.
Can still fly but it looks wrong. Injury or something else?
Drooping wing can be:
- Muscle strain
- Wing tip injury
- Nerve damage (paratyphoid can cause this)
- Broken bone (check gently)
Feel along the wing for swelling, heat, or grinding. Compare to the other wing.
If no obvious injury and he can still fly, rest him for a week and see if it improves. If not, or if it worsens, vet visit.
