My young birds just sit on the landing board and won’t fly. They’ve been out of the nest for 3 weeks now.
How do I encourage them to actually fly around?
Totally normal at first. Some things that help:
- Flag them off the roof gently (just wave your arms)
- Reduce feed so they’re slightly hungry when you let them out
- Fly them with older birds who will lead them
Once they realize flying is fun, you won’t be able to keep them down.
