The feather dust in my loft is incredible. Everything covered in fine white powder. My lungs probably aren’t happy either.
How do you manage dust? Better ventilation? Air filters? Just accept it?
Dust is unavoidable but manageable:
- More ventilation is key - dust needs to escape
- Damp mop floors rather than dry sweep (kicks up less dust)
- Wear a mask when cleaning
- Some people use air purifiers in the loft
- Regular cleaning prevents buildup
The dust is actually feather dander - a sign of healthy preening. But yes, protect your own lungs.
