Importance of wing theory

Similar to eye sign - is wing structure actually predictive of racing ability?

I examine wings but honestly not sure what makes a ‘good’ wing.

Wing structure has more logic than eye sign because wings actually affect flight.

General principles:

  • Longer wings: better for distance
  • Shorter, broader wings: better for sprint
  • Good step between primaries: efficient flight
  • Flexible vs stiff: different theories

But again - performance testing beats theory every time.
