Someone tried to break into my loft last night. Didn’t get in but damaged the door frame.
Now I’m paranoid. What security measures do you use? Cameras? Alarms? Better locks?

- Motion sensor lights (cheap, effective deterrent)
- Trail cameras (document any attempts)
- WiFi cameras with phone alerts
- Better locks and reinforced door frame
- Alarm system connected to house
- Visible security signage
The biggest deterrent is making it look difficult and monitored. Thieves want easy targets.
Also: don’t advertise valuable birds publicly with your address attached.
I have a loud dog. Best security system there is.
Seriously though, cameras with cloud storage are essential. Even if they get in, you have footage. My WiFi camera paid for itself in peace of mind.
