Weird thing happened. One of my birds returned from a training toss with a small capsule attached to its leg. Like from the old messenger pigeon days.
There was actually a note inside asking whoever found the bird to call a number. Called it and it was an old guy who thought pigeons still carried messages!
Anyone else had strange encounters like this?
Ha! That’s brilliant. People really don’t understand what racing pigeons are.
I’ve had people call me thinking my birds are lost pets. One lady fed my racer for a week because she thought it was abandoned.
Best one I heard was someone who called the band number convinced the pigeon was a government spy drone. Seriously.
