Is forced ventilation (fans) better than natural ventilation?
I have good natural airflow but considering adding a fan for summer.
Natural is sufficient for most lofts if designed properly.
Fans help if:
- Very hot climate
- Overcrowded loft
- Poor natural airflow design
- Damp issues
If adding fan, use exhaust (pulling air out) rather than blowing in. Extract stale air from high point, let fresh air enter through low vents.
