- Race prediction software
- Training logging apps
Wondering what’s actually useful vs gimmicks.

I use a spreadsheet app to log all my training tosses and race results. Basic but powerful.
Tracking:
No fancy apps needed - just consistent record keeping.
GPS trackers exist but are expensive and heavy for the bird. More of a research tool than practical racing aid.
The ETS software that comes with modern clocking systems is pretty good now.
It tracks:
Learn to use what you have before buying add-ons. Most fanciers don’t use half the features their clocking system offers.
I tried a race prediction app that claimed to predict finishing order based on past performance.
Waste of money. Pigeons don’t read algorithms. Weather, motivation, luck - too many variables.
Good old-fashioned observation and experience beats any software.
