Want to plant around my loft for shade and aesthetics. Are any plants toxic to pigeons?
They’ll definitely nibble anything they can reach.
Avoid:
- Yew (very toxic)
- Oleander
- Foxglove
- Lily of the valley
- Rhododendron/azalea
Safe options:
- Most grasses
- Sunflowers
- Marigolds
- Most herbs (basil, oregano)
- Fruit trees (apple, cherry - not pits)
When in doubt, fence plants off from bird access.
