Thanks for the warm welcome

Quick update on my situation - I posted last week about inheriting my uncle’s birds.

Met with his club members this weekend. They were incredibly helpful, showed me everything about his loft routine, and one offered to mentor me through my first season.

Decided I’m going to give it a real try. This community is amazing. Thank you all for the encouragement!

Wonderful news! Your uncle would be proud.

Having a local mentor is the best way to learn. Listen to him, ask lots of questions, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes.

Keep us posted on your journey. We’re all rooting for you.

Great to hear! That’s what this sport is about - community passing knowledge to the next generation.

Good luck with your first season. It’ll be a learning experience but that’s part of the fun.

So happy to hear this! Your uncle would be smiling.

First season is overwhelming but exciting. Ask questions here anytime. We’re all invested in your success now!

Keep that mentor close. The one-on-one knowledge transfer is priceless.

And keep posting updates! We want to follow your journey.

Three weeks in and I’m completely hooked. Spent this morning just watching them interact. Each bird has such distinct personality.

My mentor came by yesterday and we went through pedigrees. Turns out my uncle had some really well-bred birds. Feeling the pressure to do them justice now!
