Weird growth on foot

One of my birds has developed a crusty, raised growth on top of its foot. Yellowish, rough texture. Size of a small pea.

Doesn’t seem painful - bird walks fine. But it’s definitely new. Any ideas what this could be?

Sounds like it could be:

  1. Pigeon pox lesion (most likely if crusty/scabby)
  2. Bumblefoot starting (usually on bottom of foot though)
  3. Papilloma (wart-like growth)
  4. Callus from perch pressure

If it’s pox, it’ll run its course in 3-4 weeks. Keep the bird isolated as pox is contagious. Don’t pick at it.

Can you post a photo? Would help with identification.
