Winter is project season for us pigeon folks!
I’m planning to add a new young bird section this winter. Currently cramped with everyone in one space.
Also replacing my trap system - the old one is rotting.
What projects do you have planned?

Big project this winter - complete ventilation overhaul.
Removing my turbine vents (useless) and installing proper adjustable soffit vents plus a ridge vent. Should have done it years ago.
Also adding a small isolation/hospital section. Tired of bringing sick birds into the house.
Still working on my new build from scratch! Should be ready by March.
8x12 feet, proper ventilation (took advice from this forum), separate sections for OB and YB.
On a tight budget so doing most of the work myself. YouTube has been my best friend.
Smaller project for me - just adding perches and reorganizing the stock loft.
Also deep cleaning everything with F10 before breeding season. Full disinfection.
Gary - what trap system are you going with? I’ve been happy with the simple bob-wire setup.
Going with a sputnik-style trap. More expensive but I like how secure they are. Birds can’t back out once they’re in.
The bob-wire is simpler though. Maybe I’m overcomplicating it.
